Koh Samet offers many fine resorts and hotels. Many of these accommodations has rooms with good standard, even if the price is very fair. The cheapest style of accommodation is to rent a simple bungalow or a small house (for people who stay a long time or expiates). Many people though, prefer to stay in one of the hotels or one of the resorts on this island. You will find most of them on the North and East of Koh Samet; Hat Sai Kaew (Diamond beach) and Ao Vong Duan but also on Ao Prao on the West coast of the island.

Room and bungalow prices
A simple room or bungalow costs about 400 Baht and up per night, but then you will only have a bed, a simple toilet and a fan. A hotel room with air condition, a wider bed and hot water costs about 800 Baht and up. Some of these resorts also has a pool. A hotel room that also has a sofa and TV, fridge and sometimes a bathtub is from about 1700 Baht and up. This price sometimes include breakfast. A luxury room or suite is from about 4000 Baht and up per night.
During the last couple of years, many small bungalow resorts has popped up on the most popular beaches; Hat Sai Kaeo, Ao Pai and Vong Deuan. During the high season, these beaches are not only crowded with foreign tourists. Many Thai residents also come here to enjoy the beach and escape the big cities. A tip if you go to Koh Samet is to book your hotel or bungalow on the web before you leave, so the rooms are not all occupied when you arrive.
